Device setup guide

Tap-by-tap for each platform. You install this. The lock stays the same: nobody on the device can turn Merkebna off while you pay — children, adults or older people.

  1. Install profile

    Tap the button → Allow

  2. Finish in Settings

    Settings → Profile Downloaded → Install

  3. Done

    Tap below when Merkebna is installed

After you create an account and pay, Merkebna shows the same simple checklist inside the app — with buttons for each step.

Detailed step-by-step guide (all platforms)

iPhone & iPad

  1. On the iPhone or iPad you are locking, open Merkebna in Safari and sign in.
  2. Tap Protect this iPhone (or iPad). Stay in Safari — not Chrome.
  3. Tap Install profile, then Allow.
  4. Open Settings. Tap Profile Downloaded at the top (or General → VPN & Device Management).
  5. Tap Merkebna → Install, then the device passcode.
  6. Mark as installed. Nobody on this device can remove this while you pay.

Android phone

  1. On a computer or tablet, open Merkebna, add the Android phone, and keep this page open.
  2. Tap Start automatic backup: contacts, then all photos/videos, then documents.
  3. On the phone you are locking: Settings → System → Reset → Erase all data (factory reset).
  4. On the Hello / welcome screen choose Scan QR code (some phones: tap welcome 6 times).
  5. Point the camera at the QR on this page. Do not set the phone up first.
  6. When this page says the phone is locked and ready, restore files and mark as installed.

Windows

  1. On the PC, sign in and tap Protect this Windows PC.
  2. Download the PowerShell script.
  3. Right-click → Run as administrator, then restart browsers.
  4. Mark as installed. While you pay, Merkebna puts filtering back on if someone turns it off.

Mac

  1. On the Mac, sign in and tap Protect this Mac.
  2. Step 1: Install profile → Allow → Mac password. Apple shows Merkebna under VPN — that is the filter.
  3. Step 2: Download Merkebna Lock, open the file, Mac password. If blocked: Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
  4. Paste the activation code if asked.
  5. Mark as installed. While you pay, DNS cannot stay off.
